Vehicles Used for Construction Purposes

You probably have seen or heard about tall skyscrapers and stunningly designed establishments found all over the world. Even if you have only learned about them in a book or on the Internet, you can still say that they are indeed marvels that boast the potential of the architectural industry. But did you know that their creation involves a meticulous process? Well, every building goes through various stages that are far from easy. Aside from the design, contractors must work on the pre-development phase before foundations can be laid down. Fortunately, they have help whenever they need it. Not just from workers, but from heavy equipment in the form of construction vehicles. Each of them has a specific purpose that will make the whole process somehow easier.

  1. A Bulldozer is most often the first on the scene. This is especially true if the site happens to be filled with rocks, debris, or trees. This powerful machine ploughs the entire place until the ground is cleared and levelled.
  2. A Front loader clears up what the bulldozer has pushed to the side of the development area. They remove and load everything into a dumper truck to be hauled away.
  3. A backhoe is another crucial piece of machinery in the building industry. It is the one responsible for the shallow digging tasks, such as creating trenches needed for sewer and water pipes. Once this part of the project is finished, it then covers the gaps with dirt. When work requires bigger and deeper holes, an excavator is used.
  4. A crane is needed for lifting heavy materials, such as metal beams and ceramic blocks. It can even transfer huge equipment to the top of tall structures. There are various types used in the industry, including truck-mounted, tower, and rough terrain.
